Community Integration Support Services
Community Integration Support Services (CISS) help adults with mental health needs build the skills necessary to live independently and function successfully in the community. Services focus on improving stability, increasing independence, and supporting meaningful participation in daily life.
Who is this service for?
This service is appropriate for adults who need support managing daily living tasks, are experiencing ongoing mental health challenges, want to improve independence and community involvement, or need assistance accessing and maintaining housing, employment, or community resources.
What does Allied Community Services provide?
Allied Community Services’ CISS are delivered in the community and other settings where support is needed, based on individual goals and areas of focus. Services may include:
- Skill-building for daily living and independent functioning
- Support with organization, routines, and time management
- Assistance navigating community resources and services
- Support with maintaining housing and stability
- Coordination with providers and other supports as needed

Who is eligible?
Eligibility is based on age, MaineCare coverage, and demonstrated need for services to support daily functioning, stability, and community integration. Individuals must be or have:
Adults (ages 18+)
Services are available to adults with qualifying mental health needs who require support to function independently in the community.
Functional need for support
Individuals must demonstrate a need for ongoing skill-building related to daily living, stability, or community integration.
MaineCare eligible
Community Integration Support Services are funded through MaineCare. Active coverage is required.
Authorization
Services may require prior authorization through MaineCare’s review vendor, Acentra Health. Our team coordinates this process as part of intake.
